Field of application

1.1 The metering and regulating unit is used for distribution and supply of associated petroleum gas to consumers at the central gathering point facilities. Associated petroleum gas is supplied to the metering and regulating unit from the gas separator.

1.2 The measuring and regulating unit includes:

• valve-regulator of gas flow rate to the block of ignition-regulating flare of high and low pressure;
• valve-regulator of gas flow rate supplied to the beginning of the flare manifold;
• Gas quantity measurement system comprising:

a) local and remote control of gas pressure supplied to consumers;
b) local and remote control of gas flow rate supplied to consumers;
c) local and remote control of gas temperature supplied to consumers.

1.3 The measuring and regulating unit supplies associated petroleum gas to the following consumers:

• gas to the high-pressure flare ignition and control unit and gas to the low-pressure flare ignition and control unit;
• gas for purging to the beginning of the high-pressure flare header;
• gas for purging to the beginning of the low-pressure flare header;
• gas for oil heating to the oil and gas separators of direct heating;
• to the power center;

A reserve gas supply pipeline DN250 is provided.
