Capillary reagent supply systems
consists of a dosing unit (with customer-defined parameters) and capillary piping with a set of accessories.
Capillary systems are used when it is necessary to dose a reagent to a specific point in the well, for example:
- Dosing a corrosion inhibitor downstream of the ESP to fully protect the ESP unit;
- Dosing demulsifier or ARPD inhibitor to the submersible pump intake;
- Pumping solvent into the perforation intervals.
The main effect is determined by the guaranteed supply of the reagent to a predetermined location without the influence of side.
Depending on the customer's conditions, capillary systems are equipped with various auxiliary devices:
- Cable protectors according to customer's conditions (additional capillary protection);
- Protectolizer (capillary pipe protection at ESP neck transition);
- Tubing couplings with reagent injection valve (reagent supply to the tubing above the pump);
- Depth spray valves (protection against discharge through capillary);
- Weighted weights (for stable capillary positioning under the pump);
- Repair kits for joining pipelines;
- Inter-flanged or glanded capillary piping entry device into the well.
When polyethylene-based hoses are used to dispense inhibitors and solvents over a long period of time, they often fail. We solved this issue by using capillaries with stainless steel inner tube.
