Pumping station (PS) is designed for pumping crude marketable oil, treated oil effluents and liquids with similar viscosity and chemical activity.
The pumping stations are made in the form of separate transportation-size block-trusses, assembled at the site of operation into a single building. The blocks have completed internal wiring of instruments and equipment. Three-layer metal panels with insulation are used as wall and roof enclosures of the block boxes.
The NPS includes:
- pump units (the number and size of pump units are determined by the customer)
- service area
At the customer's request, the NPS may include:
- hardware unit with control system;
- 6 kV switchgear unit;
- transformer substation unit;
- fan chamber unit.
The NPS is equipped with a control system and automation of process equipment operation providing:
- operation of the station without the constant presence of operating personnel; - manual local control of pumps, fans, electric heaters, gate valves;
- automatic control of technological parameters of pumps, electric motors (flow rate, pressure, temperature, vibration level, motor current value and others);
- automatic operation of electrical protection and emergency signaling.
The automation system provides automatic accounting, control and transmission of the following parameters to the control center:
- pressure of pumped liquid at the inlet and outlet of each pump;
- temperature of pumped liquid;
- accounting of consumed electric power;
- state of inlet gate valves;
- state of outlet gate valves;
- state of all electric motors;
- status of the main and standby pump units;
- position of the entrance doors;
- temperature of the air in the room;
- signal of movement of the permissible level of gassiness;
- vibrations of the pump unit.
The automation system protects the pump units against:
- drop of water pressure at the inlet;
- drop and excess of water pressure at the outlet;
- excess of power and current consumption;
- motor overheating.
If the above faults occur in any pump unit, the automation system switches off the faulty unit and switches on the standby unit.
